1. Discernment
Listen to God, the community and the people the station is called to serve.
Our journey
The MKGR story began publicly in 2018 and has developed through prayer, research, relationship-building, practical preparation and public engagement.
The timeline
At a public Christian gathering in Milton Keynes, the need for a dedicated gospel radio station is shared openly.
The team studies digital broadcasting, studio practice, content development and the needs of churches, creatives and listeners.
The pandemic interrupts physical plans but confirms the importance of accessible online faith and community connection.
MKGR presents its core objectives and moves from private preparation into wider public engagement.
Every third Saturday becomes a recurring place for vision, prayer, studio experience, contributor development and partnership.
MKGR is shaping its own listener-facing platform, pilot schedule, programme catalogue and dedicated Android and Apple apps.
Six stages
Listen to God, the community and the people the station is called to serve.
Build the operational, editorial, financial, safeguarding and technical foundations.
Connect the studio, train the team and begin a realistic pilot broadcast.
Maintain quality, support volunteers and keep daily operations aligned with the mission.
Measure listener value, partnership health and programme effectiveness; then improve.
Expand only when the people, systems, finances and content are ready.
The movement, not the monument
Listen, register, serve or help another person discover clear spiritual direction.
